Project Flourish - Our Retail Strategy
A big part of what will make Project Flourish a success is its exciting retail offer. We’re determined to create a vibrant new high-street that everyone can enjoy, in the same vein as Regent Street and Exhibition Road.
With this in mind, we have been working with renowned retail expert Beverley Churchill, who specialises in destination marketing, leasing and brand-building, to create a retail strategy that will deliver significant opportunity, investment and increased shopping choice in the local area.
Our retail strategy includes:
2,500 sqm of retail space
3,500 sqm of restaurant and café space
13,341 sqm Sainsbury’s supermarket and café
2,000 sqm of leisure space
5,000 sqm flexible workspace.
Of the Project Flourish retail strategy, Beverley Churchill says:
“I’ve loved working with the Project Flourish team to devise a retail strategy that will provide lots of exciting shopping, food and dining choice in the local area. This is a fantastic location for a housing development, and there is a real opportunity to deliver a brand-new high street for the wider community that will deliver more shops, workspace, and leisure facilities.
“Should planning consent be granted, Project Flourish will significantly benefit the local economy, creating hundreds of new employment opportunities, and providing much-needed flexible workspace for businesses of all sizes.
“While we are in the early stages of finalising the exact retail offer, we are looking to attract a mix of independent and well-known high street brands to the development, as well as nursery and day care facilities, gyms, art studios and a brewpub.
“This is an exciting development and I‘m looking forward to continuing to work with the team on Project Flourish”
Below are some examples of what the retail offer could look like:
The retail offer forms part of our overall plans for Project Flourish, which will also deliver 2,519 new homes – a minimum of 500 will be affordable homes.
